About Me

This is my second Learning Log after completing the first module: A Textiles Vocabulary for the OCA documented here.

I am on the path of distance learning with the OCA, working my way towards a Textiles degree. This blog helps me reflect and review my learning process and hopefully progress.

As I leave the first module I find I am fascinated by the textile surface as a stage or playground. I wonder what it would be like to move through the ground I am creating. I am particularly interested in the point at which transition occurs: where things hidden become revealed, where things below become above, where things obscured become clear, and how these significant points in time and place are often unremarkable and thereby unmarked. I hope that at times my textile concepts will be as descansos for these.

Thank you for reading.
